Complex 7
c7.09
Complex 7 came into existence in February 1999. The origin of the band was quite earlier back in 1990. Complex 7 directly started an intensive songwriting and released the debut "Water" in June 2001. The German Rock Hard magazine mentioned 2010 "Water" as one of the top 200 must have progressive metal albums worldwide and ever.
In October 2002 the recordings for the second album "Process" started, again with Kostja M. Rohe. The release was in November 2003. Compared with "Water" the songs on the "Process" - album sound more ripe, more melodic and more homogenous. But the Thrash-Roots are still there. The reviews for "Process" are outstanding worldwide. As a result of this Complex 7 supported Sodom, Hate Squad or Dead Soul Tribe in 2004 and 2005. They also were on a show of a big radio-station and regular guest at the yearly Ragnarock-Open-Air, Germany.
While starting the metal-cover-band Complex 7´s Coverkill parallel and band members joining some other projects (Norbert with Squealer, Arne with Devon Graves The Shadow Theory), there was some delay in songwriting for the new release.
"c7.09" was finished in January 2009 as a demo-ep. Also "c7.09" gets outstanding good reviews. It confirms the ambitions of Complex 7 about the development of their own style. The release got some airplay and so Complex 7 got the support slot for Freak Kitchen in the Hessenhallen Gießen.
Now the band is in an intensive songwriting phase again. There is more to come ...
