Biografie	Grayhound O.C.D. wurde Sommer 2010 gegründet. Sänger Gray hat bereits im Herbst 2009 die Debütsingle „Love from outta space“ zusammen mit dem Produzenten/Gitarristen Rolf Munkes (Tony Martin Band/Razorback/Empire) sowie Daniel Gumb (Lutz Walter Experience) am Bass in den Empire Studios/Bensheim für das damals noch namenlose Projekt aufgenommen. Im aktuellen Lineup hat Gray mit Roland Holtorp einen alten Weggefährten an der Gitarre, der schon seit Jahren zusammen mit ihm in den Bands „The Sentimental Gentlemen“ und „MR. TWAT“ spielt und auch bei Grayhound O.C.D. von Anfang an als musikalischer Berater mit dabei war. Mit Leo Schmitz hat man einen unglaublich vielseitigen Bassisten gefunden. Seit kurzem sind auch der exzellente Cajonist/Percussionist/Backgroundsänger Jens "Doktor Rock" Grube, sowie der kraftvolle Drummer Alexander Weichsel und der energiegeladene Gitarrist Martin Seifert mit an Board. ________________________________________________________________ English Version: It all started during fall, back in 2009, when Gray introduced a newly written song to his friends Rolf Munkes (producer/guitarist, Tony Martin Band/Razorback/Empire) and Daniel Gumb (Bass, Lutz Walter Experience) while being at the Empire Studios, Bensheim, Germany. Actually Gray had been working on a different project for another band at that time yet found himself left with extra studio time to fill and so they recorded “Love from outta space”. But it was summer 2010 that Grayhound O.C.D was officially born with Gray as lead singer and songwriter, Roland Holtorp - guitars & Backing Vocals, Leo Schmitz - Bass. Since Gray and Roland have not only been friends for many years but are also part of the bands “The Sentimental Gentlemen” and “ MR. TWAT”, it was a natural given, that they worked together on the founding of Grayhound O.C.D. Rolf Munkes still produces the band and co-songwrites. In 2011 Cajon Player/Percussionist/Backgroundsinger Jens "Dr. Rock" Grube, Drummer Alexander Weichsel and Guitar Player Martin Seifert joined the band. As the dog lovers among you will know: Greyhound is a British race. The word “grey” is of Celtic origin and means “dog” which is also the same meaning for the English term “hound”, which leads to “dog dog”. In order not to be confused neither with this race nor the greyhound buses Company from North America, the band decided to exchange the “e” in grey with an “a” = Gray, also the nickname of the lead singer. O.C.D stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which usually refers to a mental illness, yet in this case it's colloquial meaning stands for goal oriented perfectionism. The sound of the band varies from emotional alternative rock to hymn like power pop. You'll find riffing guitars and soft melodies combined with Gray's charismatic and harmonious voice. Grayhound O.C.D is unique and catchy, their lyrics talk about subjects and emotions that are important to very many people – first and far most about love in all its facets. After the founding Gray added the songs “Where My Heart Has It's Home” and “Alone” to the pallet, which opened the doors of German radio stations such as HR3, Radio Bob, You FM, SWR 3, Unser Ding and Big FM. Interviews and performing live on air helped to spread the word to a point where they were voted “Big FM Newcomer Band of December 2010”. On Mai 27 th 2011 the record label Timzone released the “Where my heart has its home” EP. Buy it in the shops or order it at the Grayhound online shop.
